I'm looking to start on HIIT since steady state doesn't work out so well for me...what are some good HIIT workouts I can follow? I'm a bit of a slow runner, seeing how the fastest I can run at a shortened time interval is 8mph. Thanks Smile

Stationary bike, heart monitor. Get your heart rate up to 180+(this is all out max effort here) let it drop back down to 130ish by resting, or going very slowly, go back and forth for about 10 minutes.

And yeah, please don't be eating very low carb if you're going to exercise like this!!

jog 2 mins. at a steady pace, then run 1 min. as fast as you can. Repeat for 30 mins.

HIIT on a treadmill is dangerous, jogging is not half the intensity required for HIIT.

Anyone using the Fitbit Flex or similar devices?
I have a bodymedia fit and love it. It really helps keep you motivated and focused. It does allow you to sync with a heart rate monitor, but I find it has been a good tool regardless.
