Greetings!
I hope I did this right. This is my first journal entry on this site(found this today) and continuing my weightloss journey on here. I typed in the journal section and it is awesome to be able to write down my thoughts as I move forward.
My days keep me going right now: wife, mother of two, work full time and attend graduate school. Last night I was thinking (again). Where did all of these pounds (50lbs) come from in the past 21 months?
That is the number of pounds that I have gained since August 2010, since starting graduate school.
I started graduate school full of energy from exercising and eating healthier. I soon found reading and writing papers replaced my workouts and better eating habits with less sleep and staying up late studying. So that is where it came from, more time up , meant more time to consume calories. Those calories added up fast.
I am hoping this will be a wonderful place to regroup, reorganize and get support while getting my food choices together and moving forward.
Thanks for reading and look forward to "meeting" you all as I get through the posts.

The weight can come on fast when you are busy and focused on things other than your health. I am a mom of 2 also, work full time, and an occasional college student (when I have the time and money). It's so much easier to lose when you can actually put some focus on yourself and your health. Now that my kids are older that has made exercise easier because I'm not trying to workout with a kid screaming or getting into something, or having to pay for a gym memebership that includes child care with ridiculous hours. Eating is my downfall, and this site has been helping me get that under control.
This site has helped me so much. I love being able to see how many calories I'm putting in and what I'm eating, and then change what I'm doing if needed. Also, the information and tips people put on here can be a big help and motivator. I hope you find success!! Good luck!!
Goal 3: 125 whenever I get there
Goal 2(restart): 130 by May 25th (2013 vacation)
Goal 1: 135 by May 24th (2012)~~~~Accomplished!
