Well for all of you who are sitting in the edge of your seat to find out just how I did on Day 1 of my challenge, you can relax, here are my results:

May 1, 2012
Steps walked: 7,342
Miles walked: 2.34
Extra calories burned: 300

Just like you, I am a little disappointed. I was hoping that it wouldn't be that hard, but I did extra things around the house last night after getting home from the gym, at 9 pm, but still couldn't get all that steppin' in. Today is a new day and another day to seek the answer to my question, how hard can walking 10,000 steps a day really be? Apparently, harder than I thought.

I find it challenging to get the steps in on days that I don't go out for a run. A lot of workouts don't actually take that many steps and sitting at a desk all day does not help me. But, on days of long runs I'll get well above the 10,000 so I try to shoot for an average of 10,000 per day for the week. Good luck!
