Running isn't going to help you lose any weight if you eat like crap and create a caloric surplus. Since you're only goal is weight loss you need to be focused on your diet right now.

Diet is at least 60-70% of your physical appearance. Make sure you eat well and the running will be icing on the proverbial cake.

Also, make sure you have some off days of running, let your body dictate how much you run.

Avoid processed foods like the plauge. Esp stuff with soybean oil in it.

At the top of this page is a button that says "MyFatsecret" under it is another one that says "Go to MyFatSecret." On the right sidebar is a link to "my diet" click that and then go to e. "setup/change your recommended daily intake (RDI)". Answer the questions and Fatsecret will recommend a RDI.

I will note a few things to you. First, FS's RDI can be a little high. A lot of folks around here will suggest you go between 100 and 300 below what FS recommends for actual weight loss. Second, use the tools on this site. All of them. It sounds silly to log your food but it also allows you to track your exercise. This will help keep you on track and when you are off track and you ask others they can point to the issues a little faster. Third, weight doesn't equal inches necessarily. In the most recently loss of 20 lbs, I haven't lost an inch of fat anywhere...most likely I'm reducing the fat I can't see around my organs, which is fine, but remember weight doesn't always equal inches.

You may want to read this thread at the nutrition forum of bodybuilding.com. It's an excellent starting point for determining your daily calorie and macronutrient targets, whether your goal is losing fat or adding muscle.

Just cutting sugars and refined carbohydrates works for some people. It is worth a try. Good luck!

Love the food that loves you back.

Take it one day at a time!

I have no idea. I don't know how many you can run and how many calories it would burn for you. Sounds like a question you should be asking a medical professional or trainer.
