Today I was at my Atkins site looking for any blog that said they had been on the diet for a few weeks and saw weigh gain instead of loss, even though they had followed the diet exactly. In one of the blogs it was suggest that instead of trying to log on in Atkins they should try this site.This was a great suggestion. I'm finding that the site gives you every tool you need to accurately log your food values. You get all the information you could possibly need. Amazing!
So on that note I will introduce myself by saying hello to all who reads this. I look forward and welcome any advise along with encouragement.

@NSanders
It is such a drastic change! This was my first time dieting EVER and I had a really hard time. I gave my self a pre-introduction week because it took me a few days to figure out what foods were allowed and not allowed. I discovered Atkins after I decided to do a carb free diet so my first 3 days were a mess! Im on day 7 but offically day 4. You might want to try that as well, decrease your carbs as you go instead of a drastic cut off. Thats what worked for me!

I did the drastic cut off and other than having night time cravings.I'm doing ok. Just want to make sure I'm not screwing upon my daily menu too bad.

I also did a drastic cut in carbs, basically following the keckwick diet which atkins approves for a stall or rapid weight loss. You also cut your calorie intake as well. This is what has worked for me. I still get some cravings, but its getting better as I go along. Good luck to you guys!

Gonna give this a try. With hard work, determination and God's blessings I'll shed these 20 lbs to reach my goal weight of 165 by mid August before I go back to school . Wish me luck! :d

Hello
Hello finding what works and is sustainable for you is key. Also burning more calories then what we consume is part of the equation too. This journey is a marathon and not a sprint. Good luck
