I am looking for some suggesting on some really shock absorbing shoes. During the week I run 6 miles 3 times a week and go to a bootcamp class every weeknight. With that in mind my knees tend to get painful at times so I think shock absorption is pretty important.

I currently have KSwiss Tubes that have been pretty good to me (though starting to meet their time) and I was wondering if there is anything even better. Oh and I have somewhat wide feet so Nike's have never been comfortable for me.

Thanks for the advice in advance Cool

ireznik hello you should try the brand of ACSIS web as you test the shoe tread and you found most suitable to you, I recommend this brand that I use and I will be very well run, the brand also specializes in the run.

I agree, our entire family (4 adults) all wear them and they are the best out there for their price. They absorb well, breathable and found in almost all good shoe stores.

I have super flat feet and suffer from a bad back as well...I tried Nike and NewBalance and found that both did not give me all the support and stability I needed. I switched to Asics and I am almost in workout heaven. I do not run but I have found that regardless of the terrain my Asics give me all the support and cushion I need. I highly endorse Asics.

My recommendation is to not take anyone else's recommendations for shoes. Go to a good running shoe store (not a crappy mall store) and have them fit you for shoes. A good store will analyze your gait and help you find the right shoes for your particular body and style of running.

I wound up with a pair of Mizunos, but that doesn't mean they'll be right for you.

If you're anywhere near Berkeley, CA I can recommend La Foot.

Ditto going to a running store. And you'll want separate pairs for running & cross-training. Running shoes are built very differently from cross-trainers. When I started spending more money on my shoes (like >$50) my joints were grateful. I've been through several pairs of running shoes in the ~2 years I've been running, & you get what you pay for. My favorite so far are Brooks, they're great for a wide foot.

If you just HAD to get only 1 pair of shoes, I'd go with running shoes, just be aware that they will wear faster if you use them for running as well as other training, & running shoes should be replaced regularly depending on your mileage. I had less than 300 miles on my last pair of Brooks but I was using them for cross-training as well so I just replaced them with a slightly different model...what a difference the new ones make.

Legs and Thighs
Have you found the exercise Brazil butt lift? I would like to gain tone but not build heavy, thick looking legs. Is this possible? Also need suggestions for upper body with the same philosophy.
