Hi everybody,
I too am on the atkins introduction. You can count me in as a buddy. This is like my third time I started back up March 5 and have lost 8 pounds so far. I have lost 60 with atkins at one point so I know it does work and makes you feel so much better! So hang in there and remeber if your not losing weight you are losing inches so not bad either way!

Hello all, I just began induction today for the second time. So far, so good. Its not really hard to curb my sweet tooth because I don't cook or buy many desserts. However, I love bread and will miss it dearly in these first few phases in Atkins. My biggest issue the last time around in induction was not eating enough vegetables. I plan to balance my protein and veggie intake a little better. Good news, I have not gained anymore than when I stopped Atkins in January. I still kept some of the Atkins principles and was very moderate with breads, pastas, and sugar. I'll gladly accept any good tips to make it to my goal. If I can help in anyway please don't hesitate to ask.

Me too! I'm in my 6th week and running into a stallout. No fun! I'm going to up my exercise though and see what happens.

I started Atkins over a month ago but took a little break while on vacation after being frustrated with my progress. I have now been back full force for 10 days. My weight loss is still moving slower than I would like but I am excited about my progress! I would love to have some buddies who are in the same stage that I am! Feel free to add me to you buddy list!

I'm interested and have just finished induction. Have moved on to OWL which has slowed my weight loss some but I've always been a slow loser. However I am a senior with back problems but am trying to do the walking and adhere to the Atkins way of life.

yes count me in. I am on my 4 week on induction and have only lost 3 lbs. Its been very slow and hope some time in the future my body changes. It is upsetting not to be losing faster. I hope I am doing it right. I am on fatsecret and it helps alot.

Hi All, I could really use some buddies. I'm 13 days old on induction. I've lost 7 inches and 12 pds. I actually started on March 26 at 293 and am 181 now. I'm staying on induction for awhile, because I like the accelerated weight loss. I have my daughters graduation to attend on May 5th, and have to fly. I want to be reasonably comfortable in my seat. My husband is 6'3 and weights 192! Which is the weight he was at when we married 29 years ago. I was 135. I'll be happy with 160. The food is easy for me the exercise is my problem. I need motivation to get off my rear and get going.

Me too!!! The more the merrier! I find the more posts I have to read, the more motivated I stay! Plus I LOVE that slider bar and can't wait for it to change colors!!! lol

I just joined the website today, and I have been practicing low-carb for about a year now. Lots to share, but lots to learn - every day is full of choices! I'd love to do it with some new friends sharing the same goals.

Me too ! on day 5 . Was loving it and raving about how well I fely but finding it hard to eat veggies and now I just discovered I'm overdoing it on protein ! confused .............

Hey Everyone, I just started my induction phase last week. I have done atkins before and lost 60 pounds but gained it back when I met my husband and got pregnant but I'm back on track!! I have lost 9 pounds since June 26 when I started. Buddies would be awesome for moral support!! I love having people to share my wins and losses with. Also I started a challenge the will begins tomorrow wanting to lose 50 pounds by October come join the 50lbs down by October challenge!! Add me as a buddy too!

Hi All, New to Atkins, new to the site and looking for buddies to share this journey with. Read the book and starting induction 2 weeks ago and haven't lost a thing - not 1 gram. Anyway... found fatsecret today, logged some menus and have found what I've been doing wrong Smile Smile Too many veggies, not enough meat & good fats (Who'da thunk it Very Happy). I'm 38yo and have been heavy and on lf diets most of my life. And now it's time to try something completely different ... Very Happy

I would not necessarily recommend 2000 calories. Use the calculator, to make sure. The RDI (recommend det daily intake) varies a LOT from person to person. If you feel that you want a faster weight loss ...
