I tried the new Nature Valley Recharge bar this morning. It was a very yummy take on the granola bar with a higher protein count. My concern is it is very sweet, the first ingredient listed is high maltose corn syrup...how can anything where the first ingrediant is sugar really be that good for you? Has anyone tried it? Any thoughts?

There are a lot of food out there being marketed as healthy that have no health benefits at all. I can't see anything that has corn syrup as the first ingredient as working into any weight loss plan. There have been several forum posts that detail what foods people eat that have been successful in losing weight and in all cases they have focused on veggies, fruit and lean protiens and limit the processed foods as much as possible. If you want to use this as a treat when your calorie count allows it, I can't see this ever working if you are on Atkin or any other low carb diet, then its probable fine but not something to eat on a regular basis.
