I work as a waitress, 8 hr shifts or more on my feet all but 30 mins at least half of the shift is moving quickly and lifting plates. I wore my pedometer on a Sun and I tracked 8.66 miles. I think this should account for something???

Of course it does. That's a heck of a lot of movement PLUS you have to smile.

I asked the same thing when i start and was told because you body is use to the excerise and you need to go above and beon. It makes sense but i still count work i just make sure i do some other excerise durning the week.

Depending on what shift your working... Eating is the only thing working
against
how much motion and exercise your doing... Dont eat after 6... It worked for me, I was not starving, I ate sensibly and worked two jobs waitressing. Gettin done around 9 gave me my last three hrs of my shift to focus on water re-hydrating for muscle cramps and that late night munch usually following those long shifts at work. Another thing Absolutely NO ALCOHOL! (i've lost 40 lbs since last year with these changes)
