thanks everybody!!! but i have already followed most of the advice given here. i drink tons of water and in addition to it club soda, i get those 12-15 carbs from veggies, i eat the 1500-1600 cals...maybe in the pic i don't look fat,but i am overweight- though my face is long and thin... i need to loose 20 lb in order to be avarage weight, 24 to be where i want. i just did the fat fast and lost about 6 lb in those 4 days, and am hopeful that now, as i'm back to "regular" induction the weight will continue to go down, and even if it does fluctuate, i just don't want it to go up, as what was happening- i just went up and down for two weeks, ending right where i started (and not cheating at all)....
I did not look over all your calendar. But in the last couple of days, most of your carbs are coming from cheese (brie - during induction soft cheeses are usually not wise - aim for harder cheese) and sources other than veggies. Plus you eat alot of dairy - sour cream, heavy cream, which can stall people. Use oils and butter to increase you fat for a while and limit your diary.
You've had some good days in the middle of the month where you ate your foundation veggies, but otherwise it is really inconsistent. Your calorie levels are also inconsistent over this timeframe.
Do you have an issue with your thyroid? If so, try to avoid lots of broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage - it can interfer with your thryoid function.

what i ate these last few days are what's allowed during doing the fat fast- doing so you have to to limit the intake to 1000 cals a day, 90% of them from fat- the recomended mainly cream cheese/brie and nuts, the rest from protiens and carbs. that's why it's really not healthy to do for over 5 days. now, after jumpstarting weight loss (i realllllllly hope so,going back to induction with the foods it restricts to and their ratios.

Cheliros, I am so glad to see you still here and still at it. Take a look at my losses, I too went through what you did. I repeated Induction untill I felt I was doing it right. I am on OWL now and still bounce every month all around. The one thing I do know is this is a lifestyle and you don't quit it. Everyday is a new start and another step in the direction to make yourself healthier. The most I lost in Induction was 4 lbs so your ahead of the curve. hang in there! Heather

Ah, okay. If you do inductin again after your fast, try to be a consistent as possible. It helps.

why are you on this site if you dont' believe in the atkins approach everyone has their way to lose weight, you have your way and i don't see anyone stating anything to you about your principles. your very negitive.
Because I found it on the android market place. I didn't know waving my pompoms for the Atkins diet was required to post here. I believe any diet can work given a calorie deficit, I just think that limiting the variety of foods you eat is unnecessary.
Love your food or risk failure. No quick fixes, this is a lifestyle change. No extremes are needed just consistency.

I like the old book - because I followed it and I lost weight but there is no magic in the diet just hard work I think. Try to rely on whole foods. cut out some dairy and be very careful with sweeteners. Drink lots of water.

One quick question, are you sleeping regularly? Meaning at least 8hrs at the same time each day. Working midnights I know first hand how sleep plays a role not only in emotional well being but physical as well. This has been one of the most crucial things in my weight loss is getting enough sleep.

Just some pointers cheliros. I just quickly looked at your 27th menu and If you are trying to follow the rules of induction (which you should coming out of the fat fast) you are eating too little veggies and you are having nuts that are not allowed the two first weeks of induction. Atkins in the 2002 book says to be careful with coffee. (I am one of the people who has trouble with coffee and caffeine as it affects my bloodsugar)

If you are ready to give up, you're not ready to lose the weight.

Cheliros, have you tried a more holistic approach? Balanced diet, plenty of lean protein, whole grains, etc, exercise 4-5 days a week including cardio and strength training? I'm a fitness coach...would be happy to go over all details with what you've done, haven't done, other ideas, etc. Just inbox me if you'd like more help!

I've been on iduction for 4 weeks!!!! and it was frustrating as i was loosing weight then gaining it back on several times while doing induction and strictly following all the rules (ending up where i started). now after doing the fat fast on which i lost about 6 lb, and have'nt put any of them back on (pleassssse let it stay that way), i'm trying to keep the cals low (i'm aiming for 1300-1400, but am closer to 1500) and for now will keep the nuts, as i see that my body accepts them well.

Don't give up, you just need to look at what you are eating. Way too much cheese & nuts, I think. In order to do atkins, you should be getting 12-15 net carbs from veggies everyday. From the way it looks most of your carbs come from other items. If I eat alot of cheese, I stop losing. Focus on veggies & of course water. Try getting your fats from butter, mayo. Good luck to you!

Even though fat doesn't count in Atkins, it can cause you to gain or not lose weight if you consume too much. Be careful of over eating this nutrient. ie: cream, cream cheese.
