1. I want to feel good in a bathing suit, summer is coming quick.
2. I want to find me a good looking man woo hoo.
3. I want to be able to dance and not feel like everyone is laughing.
4. I want to have fun this summer, last few really sucked.
5. I just want to not feel like a fat blob.

I got serious about losing weight when my blood pressure checks were constantly coming back high. I'm 29 and have high blood pressure. Part is genetics but my weight wasn't helping. I hate having to take that pill every day to control it; I don't have a hard time remembering, I just hate that I have to rely on that to keep my blood pressure in check.
Because of my mother's genes, I've accepted that it might ALWAYS be high, but if there is ANY way I can help get my blood pressure back to normal without those pills...I'm going to try it.
Also, my BMI considered me obese. I'm only 5 feet tall. Being obese at 5 feet means you are a ball.
Lastly, humping my back forming a bridge (instead of an arch like a cat) to prevent back rolls during sex is the opposite of sexy.

I would just like to reach a weight that my body and mind are happy with...
Because I'm underweight and I'm unsatisfied, but my boyfriend is worried...and so am I. So I come on here to find healthy living tips so that maybe I won't have to live with such extreme restrictions. I'm 5'7" and 105lb and that is just not healthy.

Every time I enter my weight this site tells me that my BMI is too low... I do not know how to fix this...I think that the site thinks I am like 6' tall!

For me,at first the motivation was to lower my insurance premiums at work. Then I lost my job, and my self esteem went in the toilet - so I spent my free time, aside from job hunting, working out on my treadmill and exercycle. What kept me going, was the idea of smaller clothes - but in the early months, I found I didn't have acid reflux anymore, and I could walk in the grocery store without using a shopping cart as a walker to get from the parking lot, into the store. Overall, it's been the small, fashionable clothing, finding I have a waist, and getting the compliments. Keeps me motivated to keep the weight off for good! Also, don't think I would've gotten the good job I have, finally, without looking a more normal size. My new employer has never seen me fat!

I've always been the fatter sister of 4. For once I just want to be the skinny member of the family.
If at first I seem a little weird, then it's pretty likely I am.

I would like to get off high BP medication and not be the fattest sister (mom-body) this August at the lake. A bikini would be nice, but after bearing twins, I don't think my stomach flab will EVER be gone.

1. I have so many cute pairs of designer jeans I found at Goodwill that I would love to actually get into.
2. I want to be a good influence for my husband.
3. I am living in the UK and want to shock my family when I next go back to Texas to visit.
The only thing I've ever successfully made in the kitchen is a mess. And several small fires.- Carrie in Sex and the City

I have been overweight/obese my entire adult life. Weight loss has been a constant struggle for me for 20+ years. My younger sister experienced sudden weight gain, had gastric bypass and lost 100 lbs. She feels it was right for her. She wanted me to have the surgery, too. I didn't think it was right for me, so I didn't do it. I didn't want a quick fix, I wanted to learn to eat right and exercise. I just wanted to feel the accomplishment of having lost the weight all on my own... no surgery, medications, liquid diets, etc. Just me and my determination and hard work! I admit I'm jealous of all the attention she gets. I would love for that to be me, just once!
It has been 1yr since I started my journey. I've lost 94 pounds and have 22 to go! I'm healthier, happier and can't wait to buy those skinny jeans when I reach my goal!

since we're all being completely honest here... Other than obvious health benefits, I wanna be thin so I can wear skimpy little outfits.
I want to wear a nice form fitting dress san-pouch. I want to get in a bikini and feel proud and sexy. Once in my life I want to rock one of them tiny midriff bearing shirts all the girls my age are wearing.... Before I'm too old to rock them. I want to wear short shorts in the summer!

I am diabetic. I do not want to take insulin. I need to lose the weight for that to happen. I have always been bigger than most of my friends, but I really want to go to a store and buy clothes that do not have an X on the label!

I want my hubby to look at me like he did when we first met, like I was the hottest thing around. I want to walk into the bedroom in lingerie and his mouth to drop because I have a toned body.
And I want a better ass, apparently great boobs aren't good enough anymore hahaha

I feel uncomfortable when my husband and I are intimate. I know he loves me with his whole heart but I don't want him to see my fat roll. I want to dance through the house in the neud. Lol

You know, I do have a secret. I've always struggled with it but I never share it. It is THE biggest reason I almost hit 400lbs and why am now still well over 300lbs despite my families best efforts. Lately it has been driving me nuts and then I see this thread. So here goes... My secret? "I hate myself more than anyone else ever possibly could." You think you could hate me more? NO. Have you ever considered that you can't end your own life because you are to afraid, to weak, people get in your way trying to "help", or you don't want to hurt your loved ones there has to be a way? I found it when I was just starting in college. I couldn't physically hurt myself. What I found though is slow and painful but it works without anyone who matters complaining. Just do nothing but work and eat; it's working well.
