After spending an hour at the gym last night (which i might add will be the 11th day in the row) I burned off 710 calories. I'm find myself not as winded after my workouts which made me thinking while i was walking out of the gym...hmmmm does this mean i'm getting healthy? Then i had another breakthrough I can't not go to the gym anymore. I'm addicted to it after 2 weeks. I guess that's a good thing to get addicted too. And then this morning I got up to weight myself and i looked at my waste and it looked wayyy slimmer so i thought hmmm lets measure so from last week i went from a 37 waste to a 34. Then I said why not i stripped down and looked at myself in the mirror and....LOVINNNNN ITTT i can even see definition in my legs from my gym workouts!!! SOOOOO YAY!!!! i'm gonna have an amazing weekend!!!! I even wore my jeans to work today!! sickkkkkkkkkkk!!!

I'm more home video too, but good for you for losing and toning! wow, what a great testimony to what hard work can do for you!
keep up the great work!

Now that I'm out of college.. I don't have a free gym membership and I can't afford one... but i have been doing the home video thing .. BUT I would love to get back to the gym and onto the elliptical - my best buddy.

Congrats! I SOOO wish I could learn to love the gym, but after several years of going regularly, I just don't see it happening. The best I can hope is not feeling lazy when I go!

tuchler814, 710 cals in an hour is pretty doable for someone in the 200 lb range, but you have to remember that the calories burned goes down with weight. For me, I can hit the 700 range by walking just below 4 mph on the treadmill if I get the incline up in the 5 or 6 range. Or on cross trainer if I have the resistance up higher. I just have to always make sure that I'm pushing myself and not just leaving the settings the same everyday. I can't do it on any one machine, though, and usually use two different ones in a longer workout.

I think you just have to find your niche! If you love home videos, go for it. If you can get addicted to the gym, that's great too! I'm developing an addiction to circuit training classes. : ) Look at us go!!
