Laurie, I don't want you to take this wrong... but you've only lost 2 pounds so far. Unless you've lost weight before I don't see how this can really be good advice. At the weight you're at you can still lose if you don't get your servings and calories marked just right. But 100 pounds from now will be a very different situation and you really should consider forming good habbits now instead of later when you are stalling.

When I was writing down everything from calories to fiber for each morsel and then tracking trends for the week and month; yes, folks thought I was OCD/obsessive, whatever. Regardless of their opinions and thoughts on the matter, I lost a LOT of weight doing it. I don't regret having done it even when others thought I was rude or obsessed as the end result was what mattered. Due to my long time of doing that I am now very well versed in the counts and don't drag my book with me and flip it open at the table - that said, it is my perogative to do so if I wish. My thought to the 'other side' is to please remember that what I do for me is not done against you....
