Started walking today and it was not easy. I walked 15 minutes and it was very difficult. I had knee surgery last November and have gained another 30lbs on top of my already overweight frame. I could use some encouragement along this road. I feel kind of overwhelmed.

I haven't had knee surgery, my doctor wouldn't recommend me a surgeon until I lost a lot of weight. For the first six or seven months I really didn't do any exercise at all as the simple things in life were very difficult to do. I still managed to lose weight just by cutting back on calories. Are you going for any physiotherapy after the surgery? You might want to make sure that what you are attempting your body is ready for, you don't want to cause any more problems.

As Fatoldlady says, check with your physician/therapist first.

Then it's a day at a time. Believe me, it does get easier.

I'm not on a diet... I'm just learning to make smarter choices

Have you found the exercise Brazil butt lift? I would like to gain tone but not build heavy, thick looking legs. Is this possible? Also need suggestions for upper body with the same philosophy.
