I use Spiru-tein from Nature's Plus for breakfast, most of the days. I really enjoy that it's thick, almost like a real icecream shake!

I make my own using 8 ounces unsweetened vanilla almond milk, one scoop on designer whey protein powder (prefer the taste and I"ve tried a bunch! Mixes smoother, less carbs). ON 100% whey has more protein per scoop and a little less carbs but I found I'm not crazy about the taste and it doesn't thicken no matter what I do (other than blender with frozen fruit and still not like the others). Both are pretty affordable esp when on sale at Vitamin Shoppe and you can order online with free shipping over 25.00.
Snack about 150 cals
8 ounces unsweetened vanilla almond milk
one scoop on designer whey protein powder
1 tablespoon sugar and fat free instand pudding mix
shake in a blender bottle and good to go. refrig for about 30 min first and it will thicken up quite a bit, all preference.
For meal options use a blender and add things to taste. Frozen bananas and berries will make if like a frozen smoothie/shake and VERY YUMMY (ice can be used but waters it in my opinion), extra protein powder, PB2 powdered peanut butter, vanilla or other calorie free flavorings. These will taste 100 times better than anything store bought and premade.

Like thynes I like to make my own shakes/smoothies at home. I use a protein powder that I buy at Hy-vee. I usually use either strawberry or vanilla powder and add frozen fruit, soy or almond milk, maybe some juice like pineapple or orange (then I do about 1/2 the milk), and some ice and blend it all together. I've done slim fast shakes in the past, but I prefer being able to add in other things for a great breakfast or snack at home for me and I'm getting my fruit servings in.

I buy bodyfortress whey isolate from walmart.com. I love the stats (30g protein and 1g carbs per scoop). I use it to replace breakfast,(never hungry in the morn) and as mid morning, midafternoon, and post workout meals. Definitely satiates my apetite! When I go into my maintenance phase, I plan on going Thynes-style with my shakes!

jay robb is the best ever. I just discovered it. I used to use designer whey, but switched to jay robb because of the consistency. It is smooth and okay to drink with just water.

Wow there are a lot of shakes out there. I was originally going to try visales shakes as my step son sells them but I am currently trying ideal shake, I make it about 3 hours before I get super hungry.

I use Z-Pro by R-Kane which are post-surgical food supplements. High protein supplement for all meals. 8 a day or 7 a day and one bar. Very high protein, very low calories, fat, carbs. I add diet soda (caffeine free) and flavor extracts to mix it up. I am not post surgical but I am doing this as part of a diet through a medical center at UCLA.
The right decision at the right time.

I am on a very low carb/ketogenic diet. The carb is less than 20gms net. less than 10% of total. So most shakes are not good. I use atkins, Walker and Low carb solution. I supplement them with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil or MCT oil to increase the fat content. Coconut oil/MCT are good because they are immediately process for energy as a substitute for carbs.

I've been using Visalus shakes since the end of April. I am 5'4" and weighed 140 lbs. I have lost 11 lbs and have more energy, feel better, I don't have as many aches and pains. My dad does not have to take medicine for his artritis. There are numerous people whose health problems have gotten better. My mother in law lost 14lbs within 3 weeks and her doctor told her he didn't know what she was doing but keep on and he didn't want to see her for a year. We are all doing the Visalus shakes, they taste good and are good for you. I have tried a lot of things for dieting but this is the only thing I've stuck with. I'm not hungry in between, I don't eat near as much on my one meal that I eat. I do the shakes twice a day and eat my lunch as my meal because I eat where we have reps bring us food continously. Here is a link to my address and there is a sample that you can get sent to you also. The mix smells like cake batter and you can add different flavors to change it up some. Here is a link to my page and it can tell you more about it

I use herbalife meal replacement and their protien. I like very berry. I add water and a couple pieces of frozen fruit. Two shakes a day give 50% of my protien and it is plant based which is healthier than dairy. I get 25% more protien from animal and the other 25 from dairy. I eat a balanced healthy dinner and healthy snacks in between meals. Herbalife plan has you eating about half your body weight in protien and drink half your body weight in water. I stay full and have a lot less cravings for carbs.

For lunches, I blend 2 c spinach, juice from a lime, 1 scoop dymatize elite whey protein powder vanilla flavor, and 1 c mixed frozen fruit, plus 1.5 c water. It keeps me full til dinner and makes my ski and nails look great.
I am not losing weight. I am gaining health. Since April 24, 2012:

I sprinkle a little cinnamon in my shake after a workout. It's said to open the cells to glucose, which is good for insulin resistance. Tastes good too.
