Put everything you eat into the calorie counter before you eat it. When you see that 200 calorie doughnut that won't fill you up you won't want it. Even if you have a bad day log everything so you know where you stand.

If you lapse on a doughnut or junk out the whole day the important thing is to move on and return to your eating plan.

1. Mom won't make the donuts if they continue to go stale. Secondly, keep reminding your Mom that you are still trying to maintain your weight, especially with the Holidays over. Don’t keep your journey to yourself. I'm pretty sure your mom will lay off the weekly order from Bakery Supply in support of your goals...if you are still serious about it.

2. Exercise does not have to be done all at the gym. 27 inches dropped in Northern Middlesex County last Wednesday I snowblowed for 2 hours, which expends 533 cals./hr. This is not 1978. Power did not go out and the roads were cleared by Thursday morning. Put on a couple pairs of socks and some boots and go for a walk.

You can get back on track. It takes a little willpower, but it has to be mostly your own willpower.
