I use fat secret iPad app and android app on my google nexus one. They both work fine on direct Internet connections using either 3G or wifi. The android app however fails to connect to the server on my home wifi where there is a squid proxy. The iPad app does not have this issue, and the workaround on android is to disable wifi before loading the app. At other wifi locations without squid the android app also works fine. Since the iPad app has no issues with the squid proxy, I have to assume there is a bug with the Android app. I don't see any obvious place to submit bugs.. So here goes in the forum.

Have you done the lessons over at atkins.com? They are a wealth of information on doing Atkins correctly.
