Are you planning weekday meals better than weekend ones?

I'm having the same trouble, dk. Even though I went shopping for a few hours today, the time I've been home I've been snacking more than I should. I think the problem is I'm not busy enough this weekend--I need to plan more activities to keep me from getting bored and eating. (Activities that don't include high-calorie restaurant meals!!)

I have the same problem DK. My work routine keeps me on an even keel. Even though our lunch food choices arent the greatest, I know what to expect. And dinner is usually light during the week. Plus, at work there is not a full kitchen 30 feet away!

Weekends I tend to graze more, and usually the family and I decide to have a meal somewhere we probably shouldnt. I think more emotional eating comes into play. When you stay busy at work, it tends to take your mind off the snacks.

"Grr" was exactly what I was thinking when I was logging in to FS tonight. Funny that this was the first post noticed. Just came back from the party that was nothing but gluten fest. I knew what I was getting myself into but did not have much choice. Now I am all swollen. It is easier for me to control what I eat during the work hours. Weekends, parties, social life present additional challenges. It is not really that I cannot make smart choices, it is more like how do I make these choices without attracting unwanted attention, and what to do if there are no choices, like today. The hostess knew that I do not eat wheat, and still did not serve anything that I could eat safely, as she does not take it seriously.
