Coming from someone who *LOVES* their sleep I'm not getting very much these past 2 days. Yesterday was my craving night and I was up way into the wee hours just trying to drown myself in hot tea and water. Tonight it's not so much of a craving but a restlesness. I can't seem to shut my mind/body off. I feel as if I just woke up had a cup of coffee and am ready for the day. I'm thinking of taking a sleeping pill but very afraid if that will make me not be able to wake up to work tomorrow. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, I've seen it reported quite often. For me, now in week twelve of very low carb, the sleeplessness seems to come every couple weeks. Some people suggest magnesium (citrate seems to be an ok version). I've been taking 400 mg/day but think I'm going to up it as I just had another sleepless night this week. I think the amount of water we drink on low carb has a tendency to wash out magnesium and also potassium and salt. If no one has told you yet, make sure to drink a cup or two of broth each day to maintain salt levels. I've also read that taking a bath with Epson salts can help has they have magnesium. I haven't tried that yet but might. I did use Melatonin a couple times and it did put me to sleep but felt kind of groggy the nextt day.

ECO Atkins for a skinny vegetarian with a belly
This would be a good question for the nutritionist over on the atkins.com boards. Colette Heimowitz is her name. Post your question with her name in the title and she will respond.

c-section aftermath
I have 4 kids, I had my twins by C-Section and then two natural VBACs. I have noticed an improvement since I started working out my abs. I doubt it's doing anything for the loose skin itself, but ...

Even though fat doesn't count in Atkins, it can cause you to gain or not lose weight if you consume too much. Be careful of over eating this nutrient. ie: cream, cream cheese.
