I will not feel like having a "hard day" or a "long day" entitles me to eating something bad for me (candy bar, chips, fast food). Every day is hard if you're doing your job well, and all days are technically the same length. That doesn't mean I get pie!

So I'm going to change this around to be more positive...
I WILL put on my workout clothes right when I get home and go for a run today.

Instead of focusing on the negative and emphasizing our restrictions, lets talk about we can and will do
I will eat lightly today and thoroughly enjoy ONE glass of wine with my friend tonight to celebrate her new job.

I will make great food choices not eat past 7:00 pm and I will put others before myself.

I will not skip meals! It's a challenge for me to eat in the morning, but I've done it so far every day.

I like Deserve Victory's spin on this topic. Eating healthy should be seen as a positive thing, filled optimism, for all the things that can be done while working towards a lifetime of healthy eating, healthy habits, and the weight loss that goes hand in hand with it.
When I'm developing recipes, I don't think about what I can't eat; I think about what I can eat, and how I can use those ingredients to make healthier versions of my favorite foods; so I don't even think about what I'm missing. So, recently, I told myself; I will make a low carb version of my favorite Chicago style pizza, and it was delicious.
With that same positive attitude, I've been able to make Fauxtato salad, macaphony and cheese, chili con carne with beans, fettucini alfredo with shrimp or chicken, Pad thai, home fries, and a Cuban sandwich. I think we are only limited by our imaginations, and the willingness to improvise while making great food.
When I go to a restaurant; I will choose from the best low carb items on the menu, so that I will have an enjoyable dining experience.
When I go to the Dojo, or gym, I will get the best workout I can, and improve on that, with each successive session.
And lastly, when I make the mistake of falling off the wagon, I won't beat myself up about it; I will get back on track, so that I can continue to win the Battle of the Bulge; Failure is Not an Option!
It ain't over, until God says it's over;
It ain't over, until God says it's done;
So keep on pressing, and keep on fighting;
Until the Victory is Won!!!

If I weigh myself daily I know the result is a myth. There are too many variables to rely on a once a day reading, such as water retention, forgotten calories,temperature/humidity on scale reading (either ...
