Does anyone make their own sugar free ice cream? I was thinking about buying a machine, but wanted some ideas, opinions...

I use a Vitamix to make sugar-free sorbet out of frozen fruit. Yummy! Mango is particularly good. Just mix and eat, nothing added.

Vitamix is a very powerful blender. They run around $400, so you might want to just use a standard blender, fresh fruit, and an ice cream machine.

1 tall glass ice, 1 cup almond milk (or other of your choice), 2 TBSP sugar free chocolate pudding mix -- blender. Sort of ice cream like.
Other option, 1 frozen banana - then puree in blender, add 1/2-3/4 cup milk, and chocolate powder or sugar free pudding mix. Mix in blender.
I have a cuisinart ice cream maker, but haven't tried making sugar free ice cream in it. Thinking I could make some soft serve in it.

Obviously change the ingredients you put into the baggie (milk and sugar free pudding mix would be good), but we've made ice cream like this several times. My daughter loves it.

There is one that my mom makes. She typically uses full fat milk, reduces it, adds sugar and cardamom powder. Freezes in Popsicle molds and then servers. But here are 2 good recipes.

I use a Cuisinart with a insulated container that you keep in the freezer. Much easier and quicker than when I was a kid and had to use ice and salt.
I use heavy cream (not ultra pasteurized) and raw honey which has a lower insulin response than sugar or pasteurized honey. Add some vanilla and egg yoke and you have quite the healthy treat!

Look into a machine called "yonana" its about $50. I usually make my own "ice cream" with greek yogurt and berries blended. Then store small containers in the freezer.

Take it one day at a time!

My cheap Walmart blender handles frozen bananas, ice, almond milk & protein powder just fine into an ice cream like shake. Freeze it for a thicker consistency.

I make mine with a whisk.
The bowl metal or glass and the whisk and whipping cream need be very cold. 1/2 hr to an hour in the freezer for 500 ml 35% cream. Be sure to open the carton and use a knife to scrape the sides of the container.
I whip it just until it begins to thicken..not until it is exactly fluffy.
then ad 2-3 drops of stevia (or to taste)and a tbsp or 2 of cocoa powder and whip/blend it thoroughly.
I do not like it sweet just not bitter. This makes a "milk" chocolate.
Put in tuperware and pop into freezer.
It satisfies my ice cream and my chocolate tooth. within 20 minutes or so you can eat around the frozen edges. Once it is completly frozen you must let it thaw a bit to eat. It is a quick recipe for a sudden ice cream craving.

I use frozen fruit (love Raspberries), ff milk and splenda with my bullet blender, not ice cream but a nice frozen desert. I also freeze sugar free jello in popsicle molds for a fat free, calorie free popsicle.
It's better in the waste then on my waist!

Canned whipped cream...just a squirt if you really crave the real deal. Avoid artificial anything.
