I was wondering if anyone can help me! I want to track something I ate that was made from a recipe from a cookbook. Is there anyway of doing that without having to put each item in individually? I have the nutritional information.
Thanks for your help!
Keep moving forward!

You could make your own recipe in the foods section I would suppose. Then next time you make it, it would be there for you.

I use the cookbook to add recipes too. It's a handy way to keep favorite dishes. It can either be shared or kept private. Alternatively, I've used add custom food just as a shortcut to add calories, but the downside is it won't include the caloric breakdown.

I might be missing the point here, but as a warning I've had a few recipes in the past there the totals given in the recipe book are _vastly_ different to those I get when I've added things up myself.

I want to add a new food item too. How do I add it. I only seem to add a new meal , but my food item is not contained in the database. Help?! Not intending to hijack post- looks like we want same result.

if you have the nutritional information for your unlisted food, you can go to the food section, type in a description in the search box and when it doesn't show up scroll down a little and to the right you will see the box marked add a new item to the database. make sure you fill out all the starred boxes. sometimes you will find your item was already in the database under a different name. hope this helps.
as for the original post question, i don't know of a way of getting around putting in each ingredient individually unless you use something that is already there that is "close enough" to your meal. i've done that once in a while because i do a lot of home cooking.

Need suggestions on healthy/low-calorie foods.
I'm reading this while eating some absolutely delightful fresh melon for breakfast. If the melon isn't soft enough on its own you could add it to a fruit smoothie.
