Do you guys have a day during the week, where you just eat what you like without worrying about calories and so on?
I kinda like that idea, because that way, I don't have to deny myself all those tasty things I like but can't eat because of my diet...

How do you guys think about it?

I usually do. I have kids and we have family day. If we choose to go out to eat or something, I will pick what I want. But I still remember portion control. I am aware of good carbs and bad carbs, and that usually stays stuck in my head. So I may make a few changes to the meal. But I pretty much enjoy what I want on that day. I think it would be fine as long as you eat the proper portions. Don't go eat a whole pizza or something or to a buffet, or sit and eat a 1/2 gallon of ice cream... LOL Good luck!

Take a look at my bio page, and see the link I have to my Indulgence Diet. This works kind of what you're looking for. The thing is, you have to be really careful that you don't go too much over board on the day off - you really don't want to cancel out a whole week's efforts for one day of slacking.

Sure, you can have a day where you "go nuts". But you can't lose grip.

I hope it helps. Smile

I strive for one day a week to have an 'indulgence day' similar to Kingkeld's, though I'm more like Bhale, where I still practice some portion control and end up with about 500-1000 Kcals more than my normal days. Weekends are best, as family functions, trips, etc make indulgence easy.

Rewards are important, I work hard for 5 days to adhere to my calorie and nutritional goals, and a reward makes it worthwile. This morning I had 3 (whole grain) pancakes and 3 sausage patties. Reward enough!!

It is okay as long as you don't eat that much.
