I am really glad I found this site. I started my weight loss journey after a hernia surgery in February 2010 at 296 pounds. I got down to 262 pounds and quit, will power gave out. I restarted Jan 2012 at 280 pounds and finally found something that works for me. As of today I am 236 pounds. My goal is to weigh 296 pounds. The changes that have helped are The primal blueprint,Dr. Mercola, keto dieting, and precision nutrition pdf on Intermittent fasting. I spend quite a bit of time reading information on health and nutrition. Looking forward to exchanging ideas with the community.I am always happy to answer questions.

Hi! Is your goal weight 296 or 196? I think you may have a mistype there...?
Great weight loss so far, well done!
Haven't heard of Dr. Mercola - will check it out.
Good luck with the journey and keep enjoying all that lovely skin left on your chicken ;P

Good work. I do find the logging in food a good tool, that makes a person more aware of what is being eaten.
Great site.

Gonna give this a try. With hard work, determination and God's blessings I'll shed these 20 lbs to reach my goal weight of 165 by mid August before I go back to school . Wish me luck! :d

Hello
Hello finding what works and is sustainable for you is key. Also burning more calories then what we consume is part of the equation too. This journey is a marathon and not a sprint. Good luck
