Low Carb at Taco Bell?!?!?
Here's the problem: My kids LOVE to eat at Taco Bell ... my problem is that I'm not really sure what to order, if anything and stick to low carb. I've heard that the meat has carbs... I'm sure the chicken and steak would be ok but I'm really not sure what or how to order anything for myself. I really enjoy spending the time with my kids.. but don't want to go off my diet in order to have a good time with them and this is usually our dinner for the night. Should I just not eat until I get home or what? Any ideas???? :doubt:

Making whipped cream from heavy whipping cream
It should whip up. Are you mixing it long enough? Mine has always worked. Try moving the mixer around the bowl and using a faster speed. If you work with it for a few min... it should turn into whipped cream for ya!! :d

Need help calculating carbs in a recipe!
p.s. your meat isn't going to have any carbs until you add something to it, so just check the label of the seasoning pack or whatever you are using. If you need carb counts on vegies, hit the atkins site and you'll get a whole list of what you are looking for!

Need help calculating carbs in a recipe!
What you'll have to do is to add it in the food diary yourself. Just get a pc of paper and add up all your cals/carbs/etc... then divide it by how many servings and add all info into the system. That way, next time, you'll have it at your fingertips!

The scoop on Splenda?
Everyone is different. I've never had a problem with using splenda. The book says to count it as a carb though. I usually watch my labels but with certain things, I go ahead and count em' like the book says. I say play around with it and see if it effects you. Of course, I haven't used any sweetener this week and by yesterday I could tell a huge difference in my late evening cravings! Trial and Error is really all I can tell you at this point. Let me know what you decide!!!

People Who Know the Atkins Diet!
Hi!! I looked at your food intake and left a reply to your journal entry. Try dropping the peanut butter and see if that works. Also, drink up... water will really help to flush out your system. Are you on induction? If so, you should leave out the peanut butter. Sometimes, I go back and re-read my book for a refresher course. If you don't have the book, [url=http://www.the-atkins-die... here[/url] to freshen up your memory!! Hope this helps! Let me know if I can help in any other way!!! :d

Help
I enjoy an omelete with spinach and mozarella cheese... of course, it's still eggs, lol. You could have a little cottage cheese with orange flavored sugar free gelatin (the powder).. if you're wanting something sweet. The low carb shakes are great if you're on the run... You could make some muffins w/ soy flour, wheat or oat bran, splenda, baking powder, heavy cream, eggs, and maybe some fresh raspberries or blueberries... Also, you can make pancakes low carb and use the sugar free syrup... you could also make low carb shakes or slushies.

Put the food in a Recipe (far right). then once that is done, you can add it to your plan. Otherwise, you can put the components in, but better to do recipes.

Veggies, veggies and more veggies. The more I eat the more I lose! I've been making lots of soup with lots of veggies and ground turkey or cubed cooked chicken.
