one day diet break
although i'm not consuming many calories, i'm eating a LOT...i haven't ever been hungry yet, and when i am i don't worry about calories and eat til i'm full. the problem is that it's so bland that the cravings are pretty intense sometimes. i'm thinking about, providing this goes well and i don't see significant set back, doing this once a week to help me keep up with it and not give up. if i gain 1-2 pounds, it'll be worth it with the way i'm taking weight off :)

one day diet break
i heard somewhere that taking a weekly break off your diet is beneficial because it helps prevent plateaus. i'm not sure if this is true, but for the past two days i've been grumpy (under exaggeration), irritable, and miserable so i've decided to go off my diet, for one day, for only one meal. what are your thoughts on this? do you really think this helps prevent plateaus, or is it just completely destructive? the meal i've planned out for myself is satisfying but also low in calories and fat (i used to be on a low fat diet so i'm an expert with making things yummy without any fat), but the amount of sodium is through the roof compared to what I've been eating on this diet - on the diet i've been eating about 100mg a day - this meal alone has 2000mg! either way...i'll be doing it for dinner only and then getting right back on my diet tomorrow.

HOW TO STOP OVEREATING!!
i've tried alll of these things, none of them ever work for me. i don't eat out of any emotion or because i'm not on a balanced diet, i eat and crave because i simply love food :) not particularly a good combination with me being on - quite literally - the absolute blandest diet ever.

Any Suggestions?
why don't you try eating a cheeseburger without the bun? or better yet, if you haven't already had too many carbs for the day, they sell low carb breads. i don't think they have hamburger buns, but i know they have breads.

=)
i agree to the fullest extent - seeing that chart drop is a great feeling and it really does push you farther along. jotting down my calorie intake also makes me more aware of what i'm eating and how much more i can eat.

you really SHOULDN'T believe that it's not butter!
I never believed this to be calorie free, but you shouldn't believe it to be sodium free either! Why would you think any different of that? And plus - 5 calories a spray is a BIG difference when you need a good amount of this to make it worth using. I use atleast 15-20 sprays if it's a larger dish. plus, i also use it for cooking ANYTHING that needs butter. that's pouring an extra 50-100 calories in my dishes that i was unaware of.

you really SHOULDN'T believe that it's not butter!
i know i've been a big fan of i cant believe it's not butter spray over the past couple of years. i'm sure a lot of what i didn't know is that it contains a whopping 900 calories and 90 grams of fat PER BOTTLE... so here's a heads up to the community. i know i won't be using ANY of it anymore...a couple sprays of that stuff doesn't flavor it enough and adding more...well i might as well be eating taco bell instead! here's an article on it...i had also found one early on some website that i can't find anymore, but their article had almost identical information...if you google it you can find more: http://higherbar.wordpress.com...

i haven't told anybody :? to be perfectly honest, i get embarrassed talking about weight to anyone in person, whether they be lighter OR heavier than me. stupid, i know.

Weight-Losing Games
not really a game, but...one thing i have used in the past is buying a blank notebook and using it as a weightloss book. not only is this great for motivational purposes, but it also takes a lot of mind to make and keeps your mind off eating :) one book i made included something like this: - my weight and designated lower weights with "rewards" next to them for when i reach them...ex: "130: new outfit" "125: pedicure" etc. - motivational pictures and quotes - a list of things to do instead of cheating on my diet...clean the house, go for a walk, drink a glass of water - list of low calorie foods, especially ones such as celery with negative calories - reasons of why i want to lose weight - embarrassing pictures of me...the worst i could find...remember, only you have to see this so the worse the better you'll be motivated - a list of exercises, how many calories they burn per minute (you can look up a calculator online that will tell you how many) anything else you can think of! when i was using this i never generally finished it...it was always an ongoing process so i would always have something to keep my mind busy when i needed it

is anybody else craving a chipotle burrito right now?
i've said the same thing! at some point over the summer i literally ate chipotle everyday for WEEKS straight and didn't gain a pound - of course when i got it it would usually last me about two or three meals, and i get mine with no cheese or sour cream. i've heard it's the cilantro in the rice...yeah bull! i put cilantro in plenty of my foods (and a lot more than chipotle uses in their rice) and i've never craved any of them!

Veggies, veggies and more veggies. The more I eat the more I lose! I've been making lots of soup with lots of veggies and ground turkey or cubed cooked chicken.
