Anyone have good snack ideas?
The roasted chickpeas from the original SBD cookbook are really good & easy to make. They turn out nice & crunchy too & I put a little garlic powder or cayenne pepper for added flavor.

Anyone Else Having Problems Posting Recipes On Here?
I have been trying & trying to post recipes on this site with zero luck. I've contacted the folks who run the site & they were very kind & sent me instructions & even offered to post the recipes for me. I just want to do it myself & it makes me nuts that I cannot get it to work. Am I just a complete idiot or is anyone else out there having the same problem?!:?

Chicken Soup Substitute
You are so sweet to post this!!! I've been craving Wonton soup but of course that would be a bad bad thing to have. I bet if I make this & add in some Chinese hot mustard I could "trick" my taste buds!!

South Beach Products...
I noticed the same thing about the SBD cereals & that is why I switched to Kashi brand or Uncle Sam.

Has anyone created a chat room for south beachers??
I think there may be a chat room feature somewhere on here already. If there is not you can suggest to the developers of this site to add that kind of feature onto here.

Any spinach salad dressing ideas?
I just took out a Rachael Ray cook book from the library & she has a spinach salad recipe in there with diced up chicken breast. The dressing is made with 2T extra virgin olive oil, 2T Dijon mustard, 2 chopped up cloves of garlic, some capers, & salt & black pepper to taste. It sounded very yummy to me. Of course it's not sweet though. I love the hot bacon dressing myself but have not found a SBD friendly recipe.

Canadian bacon is o.k. on the diet & has a lot less fat & calories than sausage.

Whole Wheat or no wheat?
I am pretty sensitive to breads & pasta too. I find if I eat a little I wind up craving more. I also found when I started Phase 2 that I could not eat whole grain cereal alone for breakfast. I have to eat a protein with it like canadian bacon in order to stay full.

HELP!!!!!
I am on my second week of Phase 1. The first week I lost 3 lbs. My official weigh in is on Sunday but I have been weighing myself daily & I have not lost a single pound this week. I am following the diet very closely so I cannot understand what's going on. I'm also walking 30 to 40 mins everyday. The only thing I've done differently this week is to take fiber supplements...could that be stalling my weight loss? I log everything I eat...would you all mind looking at it & see if you see anything that I'm doing wrong. Honestly I have 3 South beach books & I've read them cover to cover...I'm so fustrated!!!!:?

Ready, Willing and (hopefully) Able
Hi Everyone, I am a 38 year old stay at home Mom of a wild & crazy 3 year old boy. This past year has been a crazy one...I was laid off from my job of 14 years & I've been wracked with health problems. The latest being super high cholesterol & triglycerides. I am hopeful though that with a combination of walking 2 miles everyday & South beach diet I will get my health & hopefully my body back!!! I am looking to lose approx 30 lbs.

weigh in
Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
many say not to weigh everyday but I seem to anyway. Keeps me focused and on track. just realize that when you do your body weight does vary a bit. Don't get worked up over it.
