Best diet orders at the Cheesecake Factory?
Hi guys, I'm meeting a girlfriend here four HH and don't want to blow my entire weeks calories. I'm planning on keeping a low-cal count for the rest of the day, getting my workout in and noshing on a HUGE salad before I meet her...but what are my best bets for ordering here?

What I did RIGHT today for ME!!
Well, I woke up, took my SlimShot, my cranwater and a yummy shake for breakfast...and I avoided the cupcakes on the table from my brother's birthday bash last night...EVIL!! EVIL I TELL YOU!!

Foods you can't live without
Three new favorite snacks... don't laugh, but: Gerber Graduates (yes the baby food!) Yogurt Melts (1/2 pt a serving, totally nutritious and definitely satisfies that sweet tooth) and Gerber Graduates L'il Chrunchies in mild cheddar (1/2 pt a serving for a healthier version of cheetos!) and ANY of the flavors of Sensible Foods chrunch-dries snacks. About a point for a serving (sometimes 1.5 or 2 pts) and 1/2 cup of fruit!

Trip to Vegas
I would LOVE to do Vegas with you guys! By then, I will be working full-time and will be in desperate need of a vacation...keep me posted! And if it's in February, I'll bring the boyfriend...he would LOVE to meet all the ladies that are helping his bebek stay so motivated about having a healthier life. :)

Sparkling Mineral Water
So...I was wondering if any of you guys know anything about sparkling mineral water (in terms of it being less good for you than regular water). I've been getting into drinking flavored sugar-free sparkling mineral water. It helps me drink more water (because I feel like I am getting a "treat") and the crystal geyser brand is low in sodium (only 35 mg per serving) which I know can be an issue with mineral water. Anyone know the deal who can set me straight? I'd really love to hear the whole take on sparkling vs non sparkling...

I am giving myself a 5 for today... so weekly scores are as follows: Saturday 7/27 - 1 Sunday 7/28 - 3 Monday 7/29 - 5 Tuesday 7/30 - 5 Wednesday 7/31 - 5 Thursday 8/1 4 Friday 8/2 -5 Saturday 8/3- 5 My last weigh in was almost a week a go, but it was - .5 lbs. I am going to weigh in again tomorrow and will post my new weight then. Go Blue Lagoonie Loonies!! :)

Summer B.E.A.C.H. Challenge!
I'm giving myself a 5 today. Successfully made it through my first SOBER wine fest! Even brought my own healthy munchies and had a very point-friendly lunch & zero-calorie powerade to stay hydrated. Had fun, stayed on track (no wine, no funnel cake!!) and got 3 hours in of walking. But between you and me, I think I deserve a 5 just for saying no to some delicious pinot grigio on a hot day like this! ;) Go Blue Lagoonie Loonies!!

Summer B.E.A.C.H. Challenge!
[b]Mini Challenge Summer Recipes! Fish Taco Salad [/b] (serves 1) 1 1/2 cups of coleslaw greens (shredded cabbage & carrots) 1 Gortons - Tallapia butter & garlic fillet 1 tbsp of low fat sour cream 1/4 cup of lemon or lime juice 2 tbsp of gourmet (chunky) salsa Salt to taste Paprika or red pepper to taste Directions: 1) Mix lemon or lime juice with sour cream. Set aside. 2) Thaw frozen fillet. Then spray frying pan w/ PAM and lightly brown fillet on both sides for the "crunch" 3) Put greens in a bowl, pour the sour cream and citrus juice mixture over the greens. Top with salsa and fish fillet. Then add salt and red pepper to taste. [b] Tangy Mexican Coleslaw[/b] (serves 2-4) 1 1/2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded 1 1/2 cups red cabbage, finely shredded 2 green onions, thinly sliced 2 tablespoons coursely chopped cilantro 1/2 jalepeno, seeded and minced 1 tbsp canola oil 1 tbsp lime juice (optional) 1/4 cup of pumpkin or toasted sunflower seeds salt & pepper to taste Directions: Mix ingredients in a large bowl; toss lightly. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour for flavors to blend. [b]Black Bean and Corn Salsa[/b] (serves 5) 1 can black beans, rinsed & drained 2 ears fresh corn (cut corn from ears) 1 tomato, chopped 1 zuchini, chopped 3 green onions (tops also), chopped 1/4 cup cilantro 1/4 cup olive oil 2-3 tbs lime juice 1/4 cup salsa (chunky) salt & pepper to taste Directions: Combine all ingredients. Serve as a salsa or a salad (great with BBQ chicken or grilled fish), or put in a low carb tortilla for a healthy burrito filling. [b]Mango & Cucumber Salad[/b] (serves 2-3) 2 large mangos, diced 1 large english cucumber (the bumpy kind, chopped the juice from 5-6 limes hot sauce (like Tapatilo) to taste salt to taste Combine ingredients, cover and let sit for 10 minutes for flavors to blend. These are my favorite summer recipes! :)

BLUE LAGOONIE LOONIES: SUMMER B.E.A.C.H. CHALLENGE
Sorry I've been so MIA this weekend! It's been a busy one! So...my Blue Team Beach totals are as follows: Friday: 3.5 ate sensibly before the game, worked out in the morning and I managed the game ok...only 1 drink with diet, a veggie dog instead of a real hotdog, and a few of my friend's fries (I know, I know). Saturday: A BIG FAT 1. Sorry guys. I did the tally for Saturday, and it was ugly!! Dipped into my flex points by 3-4 (only time this week, though, if that means anything). Even though I meant well, and danced much of the night away on just one diet coke & captain morgan (a huge feat for me!)the Burger King (split with a friend!!) did me in. Never. Again. I am glad my eyes have been opened to the reality of the points in this "small" indulgence. Sunday: 5. Back on track with a low-point, high veggie & water day. Plus me and the BF rode our bikes to a park and spent two hours sweating in the hot sun playing tennis. Hope all's well with you...and that you enjoyed your weekend and are motivated to be back on track for Monday! Go Blue Lagoonie Loonies!!

Screw Burger King
Okay so I take that back. I was a major muncher saturday...I am giving myself a 1 instead of a 2 (a 1 because I did have a good lunch, dance my butt of and do my best to eat out light before the BK mishap). But that's where the positivity ends!! I did the add-up and even without the drink (no capt. morgan in the database) I was at just under 1500 and 30 POINTS! I TOTALLY dipped into my flex points (by like more than 3!!) for the first point this week with that fatty day. Yuck. I don't care what my munchy friends say...I am over the fast food...not even for a "splurge" on days I actually can!! It's so not worth it!! If I ever needed the reality check, there it is!!

Veggies, veggies and more veggies. The more I eat the more I lose! I've been making lots of soup with lots of veggies and ground turkey or cubed cooked chicken.
